This blog is merely intended do document my experience in creating "Really Low to No Fat Meals that are Scrummy-Delicious, Inexpensive and Easy to Make". My goal was to take every ounce of fat off my body...lofty Goal I know...and I realize some fat is healthy...but so to speak, I wanted to be a leaner, lighter, stronger Maureen and still enjoy what I eat.

I started this experience on my 45th birthday July 21st, 2012 with no idea how difficult it would be. So if you are reading this and have the same desire I can cut hundreds of hours and thousands of dollars off your experience...and you can get the best of my world at no cost....take what you would like and email me if you have any additions...and please do share.

My 10 Basic Principles:

1. Start out with basic proteins that are less than 10% fat pre prepared.
2. Reduce carbs whenever possible.
3. Eat veggies with every meal.
4. Portion control will be a good friend.
5. Do not sacrifice taste, if it is not good do not bother.
6. Reduce sugar whenever possible.
7. Keep it simple.
8. Keep it affordable and available.
9. Listen to your body.
10. Do not stress out over the whole thing.

The 5 Basic Keys to Save Time and Money

1. Finding the right food products with lowest fat and carb ratios.
2. Figuring out where to get what item, in what quantity for the lowest cost and time.
3. Experimenting with the right recipe to get taste down.
4. Deciphering if adding fat is worth the taste.
5. Determining what works for your body.

With these basic principals as a guideline, you can begin to morph a program that works for you. Once I found balance in my diet, inches and pounds began to come off as the meals became easier to make and more yummy. BTW, I am not a rocket scientist, a nutrition expert, a doctor... nor do I give advice as such...So Keep it Light (Smile).

Have a Beautiful Day
